Hello there! I'm Alonzo, and I am a special boy who is looking for a special family to love me and help me adapt to life as a happy, free boy. You see, I was rescued from a large puppy mill operation, where I lived my entire life crammed into a small cage with many other dogs. It was stressful and disgusting, and I much prefer my new life of living in comfort and happy-go-lucky. My FTF friend describe me as affectionate and constantly seeking out praise and pets. I will thrive with humans who understand that my previous life was not ideal and I will need time to settle in and feel confident. Because of this, I think I would do better if any children you have are older. I am dog friendly, and do best with proper introductions to new furry friends (so no just letting a new dog get up in my face to surprise me!) I have so much to learn about my new world, and my adopters will also need to agree to sign me up for training classes to help me build my confidence and sparkle. I am a people pleaser, so I bet classes will be a lot of fun for both of us! I am working hard on potty training: I don't have accidents inside, but I do like to mark so I hope you continue to help me with gentle reminders while I master this important skill. I am already crate trained, and enjoy walks now that I have learned what a leash is! What do you say? Wanna give me the happy, safe life I have always dreamed about? I cannot wait to be your devoted boy, so hurry up and fill out an adoption application soon!

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
