BIO:
Hello, I'm Asteroid, and my backstory is a sad one. My mama was living on the streets in Mississippi and had recently given birth when she was hit and killed by a car. The kind people at the Tunica Humane Society discovered me and my littermates and placed us with foster families. We were bottle-fed every 2 hours until we were 4 weeks old and could start eating puppy food. Then we made the trip to FTF to find our forever homes.
My foster mom says that aside from being totally adorable (she can't resist my big ears), I'm a typical happy-go-lucky pup, always interested in meeting people and dogs of all ages and sizes (I might be a little shy at first with new humans, but I can be quickly bribed to be your buddy with yummy treats). I'm happiest when kept busy, whether that's going for walks, chewing on a hard Nylabone, splashing in the backyard baby pool, or running around with my pals at doggy daycare. In between these activities, I like to snooze for 2 or 3 hours, preferably at my foster mom's feet. I also love attending puppy training classes, and because I'm very treat-motivated, I learn super fast. I've already mastered sit and down and am looking forward to learning so much more when you sign us up for continued training (required for all young FTF pups). Finally, I'm potty trained (I hold it from 10 pm to 6 am nightly and for up to 4 hours during the day) and sleep in my crate overnight.
So that's my story, and I sure hope it's made you want to get to know me better. If the answer is yes, please fill out an adoption application ASAP. My tail is already wagging in anticipation of meeting you!
Love and licks,
Asteroid
Puppies are cute, cuddly and looking for a family to call their own. They need an owner who is home often, and willing to help with training, socializing and housebreaking. They need to be let out often so they can learn to go potty outside. They need an owner to be committed to them forever, and in return they will reward you with a lifetime of cuddles, kisses and love. Sound like a commitment you're ready to make? Please fill out an adoption application and Fetching Tails Foundation will be in touch soon!
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
