*4 Years Old - 48 Pounds
*Loyal, Affectionate Personality
Who can turn the world on with her smile? Why, I can! My name is Canela, and I am an affectionate, snuggly girl with the sweetest smile around. Once I get over my initial shyness meeting new people (I prefer women and take time to feel comfortable with men), I quickly turn into a major lovebug with a wigglebutt that won't stop. Once I get over my shyness, I am a very loyal friend. My favorite activities include following my people around like a shadow so I can sneak an extra cuddle or belly rub at every opportunity and going for walkies around the block (I have great leash manners!) Since I love attention from my humans most of all I would be very happy as your only pet and would prefer a quiet household without many visitors. I'm a brainy lady, too, and am already potty trained and know a few commands including sit, paw, and down. I would love to attend training classes with my new family so I can continue to work my brain, practice socializing and see how much more we can learn together. I think it will be a fun bonding experience for us, and I am all about my bond with my fam! If you need a four-legged reason to smile, I won't let you down: my beautiful grin is contagious! So hurry up and fill out that adoption application today!
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
When you adopt a dog, you're not buying a pet. Your donation isn't a fee for your adoptee - it's a gift that helps us pursue our mission, save lives, and ensure we can provide care to all the dogs in our program.
