BIO:
Bon jour! I am Celina, and I am a soulful senior sweetie who dreams about a quiet home to call my own after a lifetime of being left to wander and fend for myself. I was surrendered to an overcrowded Texas shelter by my previous owner because I was frequently found wandering the neighborhood with no supervision, and made my way to Chicagoland to find a loving forever family who will give me the life I deserve. My dream home will include a secure yard with a fence so I can safely roam and romp around to enjoy the great outdoors. Although I am no longer a puppy, I do enjoy a good run around the yard from time to time! I currently share a foster home with adoptable Leo, a young beagle, and we love playing together. I enjoy the company of other dogs, but do best with slow introductions so we can get to know each other safely.

I am already potty and crate trained, but I am still learning how to soak up affection and attention so I will thrive with patient humans who will give me time to settle in and feel safe. I would prefer an adult-only home where someone is home often, but if you have kiddos I think I would do best with older ones who understand my shy personality. I would also benefit from positive reinforcement training because it would help us work on our bond and help with my self-confidence. I have already decided that I really love head massages and butt scratchies, and will politely ask my foster momma to give me some. I am enjoying all the nice pets, praise, and treats I get in my foster home, and my simple dream is for a loving forever family that will fill the rest of my life with lots of love and pampering.
