Hunk alert! My name is Eugine and if you are looking for a ginormous lovebug to keep you company, I am the sweet dude for you! I'm a handsome Mastiff, estimated to be about 2 years old and 105 pounds, who is available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation. My ideal humans will be calm, confident, and have previous Mastiff experience: I have a lot of the characteristics typical of my breed, including keeping a close eye on my house and being wary of strangers, so I need slow introductions to new people. I would prefer an adult-only home that is generally calm without many visitors coming and going; if you have children, they should be at least 13 years old and able to understand that I need a relaxed atmosphere. Once I know you, my friends say I am a big softie who loves to play with my favorite rope toy and cuddle up on my people (I have no sense of my size and think I am a lap dog!) I am dog friendly, and do best with other dogs that are relaxed and confident. My ideal dwelling will be a single-family home (no apartments or condos, please!) with a fenced yard so I can enjoy the great outdoors and feel safe.

I know I am bragging a little, but I should also mention that I'm pretty dang smart, too. I know some commands including sit and paw (I love to offer up my paw for handshakes!), and have good leash manners while we enjoy walkies around the neighborhood. I'm potty trained, and am generally a good listener who is eager to please my people. Since I am a young dog, Fetching Tails will require my adopters to sign me up for training classes so I can keep up with my scholarly pursuits and socialization. I need a family that will only use positive reinforcement techniques: everything I do is out of love for my humans and I learn best in a respectful manner. I think training will be the first of many fun adventures we have together, and I can't wait! If you are a lover of large dogs and are ready to provide me with all the affection I have to give in return, I hope you fill out an adoption application so we can start our happy life together soon!

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
