Howdy, pals! My name is Huckleberry and I would love to mosey into your home where I can find find a nice, comfy place to nap! I am a gentle giant whose favorite activities include lounging around and getting all the belly rubs and attention from my humans that I can. I would prefer an adult-only home or one with older children if you have kiddos; I can be sensitive to touch to my hind legs and need my human friends to be old enough to understand. I would also do best in a family where I am the only dog, but I do get along with kitty cats. I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to do my business. My ideal forever home will include a fenced yard that I can enjoy while I work on my leash skills; I would thrive with a family that will commit to signing me up for training so I can work on my manners when seeing other dogs on walks. I'm currently undergoing heartworm treatment and need to remain calm for a few weeks until the medicine finishes doing its job, but that should be no problem since I am an Olympic-level professional napper! I am a gentleman with simple requests: a lot of love, and a lot of cozy places to stretch out and sleep! If I am your huckleberry, hurry up and fill out an adoption application soon so we can relax and enjoy a peaceful life together!
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
When you adopt a dog, you're not buying a pet. Your donation isn't a fee for your adoptee - it's a gift that helps us pursue our mission, save lives, and ensure we can provide care to all the dogs in our program.
