Greetings from Issac, your new BFF in waiting. FTF rescued me from a Texas shelter and immediately started me on medication to treat a skin infection that caused some hair loss on my face and body (as my photo shows). The treatment has worked great, and my fur is already starting to grow back. Cuddling with my foster family is my favorite activity. Also on my top 3 list are long walks (where I demonstrate my excellent leash manners and savor getting pets from every person I encounter), and chew toys of any kind. After a slow introduction to new dog friends-multiple meet & greets-I'm ready for off-leash playtime and really enjoy the company of other respectful canines.

I'm proud to report that I'm 100% potty trained and have absolutely no separation anxiety. When my foster family leaves the house, they put me in "my room," place a gate across the doorway, and say good-bye. I occupy my time with food puzzles (a Kong filled with peanut butter is always a hit) and long naps until they return. Then we have a love-in, where I show them how much they've been missed. As for any special requirements for my adoption, I don't have a single one. A fenced-in yard to play in would be terrific but not essential. In fact, all I really need is you!

My foster parents describe me as sweet and loving, kind, outgoing, playful, attentive, and very intelligent. As I said at the beginning, I've been waiting for you. I hope that, after reading my bio, you feel the same way about me. If so, please fill out an adoption application so that we can start our new life together!

Love and licks,

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
