BIO:
Howdy! Aren't I the most handsome boy ever? My name is Joel and I am quite the character! If my sweet eyes haven't made you melt already, my personality sure will. You will often find me tussling with my dog friends - I call it dog-jitsu! I am a rough player though, so other dogs who can handle (or correct) my puppy energy would be best. I'm a big fan of plush toys, especially ones with squeakers! I can sometimes be possessive over my toys and I give a small growl to let other dogs know that I'm the boss. When I am not chasing a ball or chomping on a bone, I am likely curled up in a dog bed or on your lap looking for some scratches. Walking on a leash is still new to me but I am quickly getting the hang of it. I would appreciate a fenced-in yard that allows me easy access to the bathroom and plenty of room to romp and zoom around with my doggie pals. I recently met a kitty and it frightened me so much, I started barking. Not to worry though, as I get along with all humans, including children! Because I am still learning the power of my own strength, older children would be preferred so they do not get knocked down while I am delivering kisses. Once I am tired from my exercise and fun, I am a lazy, cuddly guy who enjoys naptime on the couch, being called nicknames like "freckles," visiting my foster mom at work so I can say hi to all my new friends, and occasionally sneaking a snack from your plate during dinner. I think I would thrive in training classes and this would be a fantastic bonding experience for both of us! Fetching Tails requires adopters of young dogs like me to sign us up for training classes. I am a smart fella who has already mastered potty and crate training, so I am sure I will be class valedictorian during training!

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
