BIO:
Hi everyone, I'm Kadey, and my story is a sad one. I was living in an abusive and neglectful household when I was rescued and taken to an overcrowded Texas shelter. Just before my time was up, FTF swooped in, brought me to the Chicago area, and placed me with a wonderful foster family. I adore my new humans and my foster canine siblings (I know my place in the pecking order!) and am thriving.
My foster mom says I'm a chill gal with excellent house and outdoor manners. Inside, I'm calm and relaxed, with a few bursts of playful energy. Outside, I walk well on a leash and enjoy making friends with people and (especially) other dogs. So if you already have a pooch in the house, I'll try my hardest to become their best buddy. As for the basics, I'm potty trained and can hold it for up to 6 hours. My crate is my quiet spot, and I often go in unasked when the door is open.
One last thing to mention. I really enjoy dressing up for holidays, special occasions, and for no reason at all. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of me in my Christmas outfit, complete with antlers to show you. I know you'd agree that I really carried off the look!
Summing up, the first couple years of my life were pretty terrible, but now things have turned around. The only thing that's missing is...you! Could I be the pup you've been looking for? If so, please fill out an adoption application right away. I can't wait to meet you and start sharing many wonderful adventures together.
Love and licks,
Kadey
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
