BIO:
Hi there! I'm Keifer and boy am I excited to meet you, I'm pretty much excited to meet everyone! I love people but I sometimes get overstimulated so go slow and let me come to you at first and I'll warm up quickly. I'm a goofball and still learning how to be loved. I enjoy cuddling and I'm starting to get the hang of it. I love to follow you and watch what you're doing. I'm happy to hang out while you get ready or cleaning (I might get in the way but I just like to be included).

I am very food motivated and easy to train. I know how to sit and stay. I am working on taking treats more gently but I get very excited when I know I am getting food. Despite my deep passion for anything edible I do not beg while you eat. I will sit patiently under the table. If you work from home, I will also sit under your desk quietly while you work. I am also the best walking companion! I'm great on a leash and if you have a treat I will pretty much ignore anything else happening (sometimes I need this when we pass dogs or squirrels - but I am slowly learning to relax even in these moments).

I feel comfy and safe in my crate and will actively choose to nap in it. I am trained to sleep in the crate overnight and when my foster mom is out of the house so I don't get in trouble. I don't whine or bark, I just settle myself down after a few minutes. In fact, I'm not much of a barker at all. I've been told I'm an older boy but I definitely do not feel it!
