BIO:
Gentle giant alert! If you like big dogs and you cannot lie, my name is Kenmore, and I am an affectionate dude who has an endless supply of love and snuggles for the lucky family that chooses me as their best furry friend. I am as friendly and sweet as it gets: I love being with my humans and being a part of a pack so I can hear someone say "what a good boy!" all day, every day. My foster mom says I am a generally laid-back fella who enjoys lounging on the couch with my family - the couch is my favorite place in the whole world! - and resting near her when she works for home or does some chores. But I do have a playful streak from time to time and also love playing with my doggie foster sibling by playing chase, playing fetch with my favorite toys, or going for some long walkies together with our people. Once we are tired, I am happy to curl up on the couch with my pup pal for a nice, long nap (can you tell I love naps yet?)
I am also a very well-behaved gentleman who gets along great with people of all ages, including kiddos, and other dogs. I am already potty trained, crate trained (I don't need to be in one when you leave the house since I am happy to nap on the couch or a doggie bed, but I do sometimes go into my foster sibling's crate to nap since it is near foster mom's work desk!), and know some commands including sit and down. Since I am such a big boy, I am taller than most kitchen countertops and am still learning not to counter surf for snackies. So I ask for some patience while I learn to leave the food alone, and also ask that you be mindful of what is within my reach. I do also have a couple of big-dog needs-like joint supplements to keep me feeling my best and a raised feeder so I don't have to bend down too far to eat. My diet matches my size - I eat a lot of food per day to keep me big and strong and I am a proud member of the clean plate club, happily devouring my meals. Fetching Tails requires adopters to sign us up for training classes, and I am eager for your praise so I think I will learn even more very quickly with you by my side.
I dream about a family who will enjoy a nice walkie or two a day, have some fun toys for me to entertain myself with (I love nylabones!), have a comfy couch, and lots of love to share with me because I have endless love to give in return. If that sounds like you, I hope you fill out an adoption application soon - I can't wait to meet you!
Love,
Kenmore
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
