Meet Mildred! Mildred is a happy, social puppy who is both dog and people friendly. Her play style is active and engaged, and she loves spending time playing with other dogs as well as being close to her humans. She knows to potty outside and does very well on a consistent routine, with no accidents in the house when she's taken out proactively after naps and playtime. She is still learning how to alert when she needs to go, but she's making great progress.
At night, Mildred sleeps in an open-door kennel and is currently kenneled when left alone in the house. She is adjusting well and will be starting closed-door kennel training soon. Mildred is a typical puppy and explores the world with her mouth, which can include fingers and toes, so a home with older children or dog-savvy adults who understand normal puppy behavior would be the best fit for her while she matures.
She has a wonderful balance of energy, enjoying active playtime followed by long naps. Mildred loves a good chew toy, playing with her foster sisters, exploring new spaces, and cuddling up with her humans. She truly wants to be near her people when they're home. Mildred has a fantastic personality and is eager to please. She is already learning basic commands such as come, sit, up, and leave it, and after playtime she's happiest snuggled up next to her person for a nap. She's even a good sport about going outside for potty time in the snow and cold.
Puppies are cute, cuddly, and eager to find a family to call their own. They need an adopter who is home often and ready to put in the work on training, socializing, and housebreaking. Young puppies require frequent potty breaks to learn good habits. Training is required, and we will need proof that adopters have registered for a puppy class.
They deserve someone who will commit to them for life. In return, they will give you endless cuddles, kisses, and unconditional love. If you're ready for that commitment, please fill out an adoption application and Fetching Tails Foundation will be in touch soon
