BIO:
Hi friends! My name is Muffin Cakes, and I am a spunky but sweet senior gal who is looking for a special adopter to give me the best golden years a girl could desire! I am diabetic and can be a little sassy sometimes when receiving my insulin shots, so I need someone experienced with my condition to help me thrive. I have a generally low energy level and enjoy sniffing and rolling around in the grass in the backyard (I would love a fenced yard at my forever home), snuggling in my favorite dog bed, chewing on toys, and getting pets from my favorite people. But I also have a silly streak and will keep you laughing with my happy dance or with what my foster momma calls my slow-motion jog when I want to play outside and follow her around. I get along with other calm dogs, but we mainly co-exist, so I would also be fine as your one and only doggie pal. I would do best in an adult-only home, and like a calm environment without a lot of visitors coming and going.

I am a very devoted lady who loves to be around my people as much as possible, so I would prefer a home where someone is home frequently. But if you need to leave for a couple hours to run errands, I will settle in my bed until you return. My ideal home will be a single-family house rather than an apartment or condo with shared walls: I have a loud singing voice and like to use it. I am also potty trained and have good house manners. I can be stubborn sometimes, especially when I want a treat or when I want to stay outside to keep sniffing in the grass, but my desire to be with my person always wins out and I can guarantee I will be your little shadow for life. I have a lot of love to offer the special person who promises to take care of me and spoil me like I deserve! If you would like to learn more about me, please fill out an adoption application!

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
