Hola mis amigos. Our names are Teeny (female) and Pierogi (male), and we are a pair of sweet and loving bonded siblings. Our backstory is a sad one. We were rescued by the Tunica Humane Society in Mississippi, where our owner was forced to leave us when she entered hospice care. My new friends from FTF stepped in to help and promised we would always remain together. Although we miss our previous momma very much, we're so happy to be in our foster home and have made friends with absolutely every person we meet. In fact, our favorite activity is curling up together on an available lap and having a love-in (expect many little kisses from both of us) followed by a long snooze. We also enjoy waddling (more about that in a second) around our backyard and greeting all neighborhood pooches, large and small alike.

Here are a few other facts about us. We're potty-trained and have excellent house manners-no need for a crate. As you can tell from our photos, we're both quite overweight. Our foster mom suspects we packed on the extra pounds because our owner couldn't resist our pleading warm brown eyes and gave us lots of table scraps, but illness prevented her from providing the exercise we needed to burn off the extra calories. We are now on a weight management diet and have started a walking regimen, where we go a little farther each day. So a person/family committed to helping us (particularly Pierogi) lose weight is a requirement for our adoption. Other than that, all we need is love, love, love-plus comfortable spots to nap in the sun when we can't snuggle with you.

Our foster mom describes us as adorable chunky butts. We hope you have room in your life for both of us and will fill out an adoption application ASAP. We promise to fill your life with joy!

Love and licks,
Teeny and Pierogi

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
