*3 Years Old - 61 pounds
*Very Shy - Quiet Home & Neighborhood Ideal
*Dog Friendly - Calmer Dogs Preferred
Greetings, future family! My name is Pretty Girl, and I am a special lady who needs a special person that will help me overcome my past and find my happy. Could that be you? I previously lived in a hoarding situation with 12 other dogs; I was bred and dumped at a shelter once I had my babies. As you can imagine, I am very shy and confused so I need a calm home where I will be given my own quiet space (maybe an extra bedroom?) to decompress and patient humans who will go slow with me so I can settle in and feel safe. I've learned in my foster home that I love lounging on the couch receiving as many cuddles as I can get, but still get overwhelmed by too much excitement so I think an adult-only home or home with older children who understand my shyness would be best for me. I am dog friendly, and would prefer any doggie pals in my forever home be calm and low energy like me. I'm potty and crate trained - I consider my crate my safe space and like having it as a place I can relax if I need a break - and would thrive with a family that will commit to signing me up for training so I can keep working on my confidence and blossom. I think training will be a great opportunity for us to strengthen our bond together, too! If you think you could be the person to help me find my happily ever after, please fill out an application soon!
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
When you adopt a dog, you're not buying a pet. Your donation isn't a fee for your adoptee - it's a gift that helps us pursue our mission, save lives, and ensure we can provide care to all the dogs in our program.
