Hi, there! Move over Mario & Luigi, Princess Peach here, a sweet and loving girl who is looking for a kind, patient family to provide the safe and happy home about which I've always dreamed! I've been through a lot during my short time, including being shot with BB pellets, but I am resilient and determined to love and trust again. It might take me a few meet-and-greets with my potential adopters to come out of my shell, but once I know that I am safe and can feel comfortable, you will see the timid exterior replaced with the real me: A cuddly, kind, and well-behaved girl who is eager to please and just wants to be by your side.
I love going for walks and playing outside: both great activities to help me build trust and socialize with other pups. I love other dogs and my ideal forever family will include a canine companion that I can shadow. Sensitive and gentle in nature, I would also likely be good in a house with cats. When I'm not getting my exercise in, I enjoy a peaceful lounging session on the couch or a warm snuggle in bed. I am polite towards children and new people that I meet, but I can get a little nervous with first introductions, so I appreciate being able to take my time in getting to know people. I require little supervision, as I've mastered my household manners. I am potty trained, don't need to be crated, do not destroy furniture or belongings, and can be left alone for up to eight hours at a time.
With time and patience, I know that I will make a terrific family dog for the right, understanding family who will allow me time to recover emotionally. If that safe haven could be with you, please complete an application today.
Hugs and kisses,
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
When you adopt a dog, you're not buying a pet. Your donation isn't a fee for your adoptee - it's a gift that helps us pursue our mission, save lives, and ensure we can provide care to all the dogs in our program.
