BIO:
Hi everyone. I'm Randell, and I was found as a stray in Texas. Life on the street and later in an overcrowded animal shelter was very frightening, especially for a little guy like me. I'm looking for a kind and patient person/family to help me recover from my trauma, learn to trust, and show me how wonderful life can be. Thanks to my terrific FTF foster home, this process has already begun. Although I'm still quite nervous around men and boys (and little kiddos terrify me), I'm warming up to my foster mom. In fact, I've begun to snuggle in the crook of her arm and let her pet me for a few minutes. Now that's progress!
My favorite activity in my foster home is playing with Inky, another tiny FTF rescue from Texas (who's also available for adoption), and the resident pooches. We have so much fun running around the house, wrestling with each other, and then cuddling up to snooze. My canine buddies are teaching me that people are okay and helping build my confidence. For that reason, my adopter must already have a playful dog or-and this would be absolutely fabulous-adopt me and Inky together.
A few other things to tell you: Because I'm skittish around people, I wear a leash in the house and yard, otherwise my foster family could never catch me. This won't be a permanent arrangement, just for now. As for potty training, I use pee pads and also do my business outside and am pretty reliable. I hide in my crate when I'm scared and like to exit on my own-please don't grab me. Overnight and when the family is out, Inky and I stay together in a pen.
In closing, I know that adopting me will be challenging, but please don't give up on me. Once I truly understand I'll always be safe in your care, your love will be returned a million-fold. I hope you'll fill out an adoption application and come and meet me (and Inky) soon.
Love and licks,
Randell
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
