BIO:
Greetings! Scotty here - I'm a sweet, petite boy looking for my forever home! You see, I was found as a stray in Texas and my new human friends think I might have been a hunting dog in my past life (I've got an ear tattoo!). Those days are now long behind me and I'd love nothing more than a warm bed, tasty snacks and lots of pets. My floppy ears are like velveteen stress balls! I've come to realize that people are not so bad and my dog pals have really helped bring out my confidence. I love to be near my people and would do great with someone who is home a lot so we can hang out and enjoy a pampered life. I'm hoping to put on some weight, so my humans feed me puppy kibble three times per day (YUM!) - I'm very food-motivated and I love nutrient-rich treats like sweet potatoes and greek yogurt. I'm a super chill dog who thrives off of attention, but I do get along with other pups of all energy levels. Toys seem to be a new concept to me - you should see my excitement to fling toys through the air! I am a good walker and I like putting my nose to use and tracking all the different smells. I'm pretty athletic so I'd make a great hiking or running partner! If you have a fenced-in yard, this would be helpful for my potty training - I do need a fence at least 6 ft. tall though, as my curiosity can get the best of me and I am quite the climber. While I am not the biggest fan of going into my suite for bedtime, I can be bribed with a Kong and I will eventually settle down. I'm a smart boy who's receptive to commands and I have no doubt I'll pass training classes with flying colors - Fetching Tails requires adopters of young dogs like me to sign us up for training classes. We'll learn so much together!

Are you ready to give me a second chance at a fulfilling life? Fill out an application and schedule a visit to meet me soon - I cannot wait!

Love and licks,
Scotty

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
