BIO:
Hi future family! My name is Smithers, and I am a shy but very sweet and gentle young guy who would thrive with a patient family that will help me come out of my shell. I would do best in an adult-only family or with older/teenage kids who understand that it will take me a bit of time to feel safe. Once I am comfortable, I'm a snuggly dude who loves laying next to my people, chewing on toys, and cozy naps. I love my crate and sleep well in it. I previously lived with other dogs and enjoyed playing with them, so maybe another dog will help bring out my confidence. Committing to signing me up for training classes will really help me blossom, too: I am learning lots in my foster home, but need continued help with potty training and learning how fun it can be to go outside. Like all beautiful gems, I need some polishing, but if you have the patience to help me sparkle, I will be an amazing best furry friend for life!

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
