It's a beautiful day to adopt a special lady, don't you think? My name is Sunny, and I am ready for a patient family who will help me shine! I am a lovely mixed breed girlie, estimated to be about 3 years old and 60 pounds, and I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation. I am a shy lady who needs time to trust, so I would appreciate a patient family with a quiet home where I can come out of my shell at my own pace. Once I am comfortable, I am a very loving girl who will frequently approach you for pets and attention. When I think of my ideal home and family, I would like a calm home with no young children and one or two chill adults as I shy away from loud, excited people; I am fine with other dogs (I am mostly indifferent to them) and great with cats if you already have pets. I also need a home with a fenced yard, ideally in a quiet suburban neighborhood: as a former country girl originally from Mississippi, the hustle and bustle of busy city life is too much for me.
I have excellent manners: I am potty trained, LOVE my crate because I consider it a safe place when I need some "me time," and have wonderful leash manners (I even sit and wait at crosswalks!) I have been gaining confidence thanks to my awesome foster family, and I would appreciate a forever family where my kind humans are home more often than not so we can work on our bond together and continue to help me blossom into the best Sunny princess I can be. If you think you could be the special person to show me a lifetime of sunrises and sunsets, please reach out to my friends at Fetching Tails soon!
If you'd like to adopt this dog please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent). Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
When you adopt a dog, you're not buying a pet. Your donation isn't a fee for your adoptee - it's a gift that helps us pursue our mission, save lives, and ensure we can provide care to all the dogs in our program.
