Argo is a one-year-old, 40-pound lovebug who came to us from Texas after being found as a stray and ending up in a shelter. He's incredibly dog friendly and has done great with every dog he's met. His play style is playful and submissive-he'll wrestle for a bit, then happily roll onto his back. While he can get a little rambunctious during play, he takes corrections very well and is respectful of other dogs.
He is fully potty trained with no accidents in the home and does well being left out overnight. Argo is an easy house guest who settles quickly and chooses a cozy couch over mischief. He's not crate trained but doesn't seem to need one, as he self-soothes and relaxes on his own.
Argo has a medium-high energy level and still shows some puppy enthusiasm. He enjoys playtime and games like fetch, followed by long naps. Once recharged, he's ready to go again. He would thrive in a home that can provide daily play and enrichment.
Affection is Argo's love language. He is a total shadow who wants to be as close as possible to his people, whether that means leaning into you for pets, snuggling on the couch, or nuzzling into your neck. Because of his size and eagerness to be close, he's best suited for a home with older children.
Argo would do best in a home where he's allowed on the furniture and treated like part of the family. He's the kind of dog who wants to be wherever you are, sharing the couch, your space, and your heart.
