This sweet girl is looking for a foster or forever home where she can truly shine. She came to us from Southern Illinois after being found as a stray and ending up at animal control, and we're so happy to have welcomed her into our rescue.

She's around 60 pounds with the most beautiful golden retriever-like fur in shades of brown and tan. Her coat is absolutely gorgeous and she loves being brushed-some regular grooming and pampering would make her feel her very best.

She can be playful with other dogs but does best with a proper introduction. Once she feels comfortable, her fun and playful personality starts to come through. She's currently working on potty training while staying at our shelter, where she spends long hours alone, so she'll benefit greatly from consistency and routine in a home. She settles nicely in her dog suite and eventually relaxes on her bed.

She has a wonderful demeanor with people and loves being close to her humans. One of her favorite things is going on long walks, though she can be strong and does pull on leash, so she'll need someone who can continue working with her. Her energy level is medium to high, making her a great match for someone who enjoys getting outside and staying active.

Her ideal home would include a fenced yard where she can safely explore and stretch her legs. More than anything, she's ready for a loving family to give her the stability, patience, and companionship she deserves.
