Milka is an energetic, intelligent, and playful 3-month-old puppy who weighs 18 pounds and is ready to find a forever family that can keep up with her zest for life. Affectionate and snuggly when she's ready to settle down, Milka is just as happy curled up next to her people as she is racing through the house with her never-ending zoomies. Her silly facial expressions and puppy antics keep her foster family laughing every day.

Milka was surrendered to a shelter when her owner suffered a stroke and could no longer care for her. Despite the changes in her young life, she has adjusted beautifully and is thriving in foster care.

Like most puppies her age, Milka has a high energy level and loves to stay busy. Her days are filled with breakfast, naps, potty breaks, training sessions, playtime, walks, and more naps before settling in for the evening. She is crate trained and is doing well learning a potty-training routine.

Milka is a smart girl who already knows "sit," "down," "paw," "spin," "come," and "house" (go to your crate). She enjoys learning new things and would love a family committed to continuing her training. She can be vocal with barking and is still learning leash manners, so she will need patience and guidance as she grows.

She absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. In fact, Milka would thrive in a home with another playful dog and being adopted into a home with a canine companion is preferred. Her favorite toys include a Kong stuffed with treats and tennis balls, and she loves games of fetch or chasing toys attached to a string.

Because she is still a young puppy who can be mouthy and jumpy when excited, a home with older children would be the best fit. Milka has moderate shedding and is looking for an active family that will provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, training, and love.

*ADOPTION FEE: $450

* Must Live Within a 50 mile radious of Itasca, IL within Illinois

*Be at least 21 years of age

*Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

*Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease)

*Have a valid ID with current address (please provide proof of address if ID address is not up-to-date)

*Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation

*Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
