Sassie definitely lives up to her name! This adorable 1-year-old, 12-pound girl is sweet, rambunctious, sassy and incredibly playful. She may be full of energy, but she also has a softer, shy side that will absolutely melt your heart.

Sassie can be a little skittish and unsure at first. She wants so badly to come to you, but sometimes instead she'll roll right over for a belly rub. Once she feels comfortable, her playful personality really shines!

Sassie came to us from Tunica, Mississippi. She was an elusive little girl who wouldn't let anyone catch her, but thankfully the shelter was eventually able to bring her to safety. Now she's ready to find a home where she can continue learning that people are pretty great.

She loves playing with other dogs and has no problem holding her own-even with a dog five times her size! She enjoys her Nyla bones and Kongs, and her favorite place to be is either outside playing or curled up on the couch with a canine buddy.

Sassie is working on potty training and leash manners, as she does tend to pull on walks. She's crate trained and does well with some alone time. Because she's a little quick and curious, her forever family will need to be extra careful with open doors and make sure any fenced yard is secure with no gaps she can squeeze through.

Sassie is an adorable, sweet, and sassy little girl who is happiest when she's playing, exploring, and hanging out with her favorite people and dog friends. She's ready for an active family who will keep up with her energy and help her confidence continue to grow.
