Meet Skylark! Sweet, curious, gentle and just the right amount of silly, Skylark is the kind of puppy who makes everyone around her smile. At 13 weeks old and 17.6 lbs, she has already shown us what a wonderful little companion she can be.

Skylark absolutely LOVES kids! She lights up when she sees them-her little tail goes crazy and her whole body gets wiggly with excitement. She is gentle, patient and has wonderful manners with children of all ages.

She also loves other dogs and has learned great manners from her foster's big resident dog. She is brave but submissive, loves to wrestle and play tug, and enjoys having a canine buddy around.

And when playtime is over? Skylark knows how to relax. She'll either put herself in her crate for a nap or pop her front paws up on the couch with a look that says, "I'm ready for cuddles. Please pick me up!"

Her daily routine is already impressive for such a young puppy. She sleeps through the night from around 9 PM until 6-7 AM with no accidents and is continuing to work on potty training. She is also comfortable in her crate and pen and can happily settle while her foster works.

Skylark loves toys, especially bones, playing outside, baby pools and sprinklers. She has moderate energy but is also very adaptable and has thrived in every situation she's been introduced to.

She was found in a box on the side of the road near a shelter in Tunica, Mississippi, along with her nine siblings. Despite that rough start, Skylark is nothing but sweetness.

Skylark would love a home with kids, another dog, or both! She would also make a wonderful first dog for someone looking to add a puppy to their family.

She's ready to trade her rough beginning for the forever family she deserves.
