About
Tabitha
FAST FACTS:
* 13lbs
* Dog Friendly
* Working On Potty Training
Meet Tabitha! Tabitha is a 1-year-old, 13-pound Havanese mix who is basically a professional cuddle bug. She is affectionate, happy, and loves being right by her foster moms side. If foster mom is moving, Tabitha is moving too! She follows her everywhere and even likes to stretch out across her pillows at night.
Tabitha has moderate energy and is the perfect work-from-home companion. Her foster routine starts with a potty break and breakfast, followed by hanging out while foster mom works. She enjoys a walk around the block at lunchtime, then spends the afternoon snoozing nearby. In the evening, she's ready for couch cuddles, TV time, and an early bedtime. Honestly, she has mastered the cozy life!
She enjoys walks and is a great leash walker. She gets along well with other dogs, but she's respectful and tends to give them their space. She would do well as an only dog or with a canine companion who appreciates a calmer friend.
Tabitha is still working on potty training and basic commands. She is young and curious, so she does need to be crated when left home alone because she may get herself into trouble and chew on things. She loves her elk antler and is still learning that toys are meant for playing!
Tabitha was found on a secluded farm near Tunica, Mississippi, along with another female dog who appeared to be related to her. They were likely dumped and were found matted, dirty, and very hungry. Thankfully, Tabitha is now safe in foster care and discovering just how wonderful life can be.
Tabitha doesn't shed, but her beautiful coat will require routine professional grooming. She would make a wonderful companion for a first-time dog owner, a couple, or a family looking for a sweet, affectionate pup who wants nothing more than to be by your side, go for a walk, snuggle on the couch, and binge-watch TV with you.
If you're looking for a little shadow with a BIG heart, Tabitha may be your girl!
