Yogi Bear has been through more than any dog should, and now he is ready for the part of his life he deserves most: a quiet, comfortable home where he can simply be loved.

Yogi came to us from a shelter where his time was running out and he was facing possible euthanasia. We couldn't let that happen. Then, in a heartbreaking turn of events, Yogi became the famous dog who jumped from an overpass on the 390 Expressway, suffering devastating injuries to both front legs.

After months of surgeries, recovery, and countless bandage changes, Yogi is finally fully recovered and ready to enjoy his golden years. He does have metal plates in his legs, and his paws will always be somewhat stiff, but that doesn't stop this sweet boy from being an incredible companion.

Yogi is a quiet, low-energy, cuddly follower who simply wants to be near his person. He loves his foster mom and follows her everywhere, happily settling in close by. He isn't interested in playing with toys - he'd much rather be your shadow, enjoy some cuddles, and keep you company.

He is good with other dogs and would do well in a calm, quiet home with someone who is home more often than not. Yogi does not like being left alone and needs to be crated when his family is away. Yogi is potty trained and crate trained. He does pull on leash, so his adopter will need to be comfortable managing that.

A fenced yard would be wonderful for Yogi, but a secure 6-foot privacy fence is required and he should always be supervised outside. Yogi has proven that a four-foot fence isn't enough - his incredible jumping history is exactly why we take this requirement seriously.

Yogi isn't looking for an adventurous life anymore. He's looking for soft beds, quiet days, a person to follow around, and someone to love. Everyone who meets Yogi falls in love with him.
