Covid Response

Our Protocols

Keeping Our Community Safe

Fetching Tails Foundation takes the safety of our dogs, volunteers, and community seriously and that is why we're following all the steps of the federal, state, local, and CDC officials. We believe as an organization to beat this we all need to do our part and wear a mask and act now. With that being said rescue does not stop. Dog's don't stop needing us and dogs don't stop needing forever homes. But due to COVID-19 we have made some adjustments for everyone's safety and we hope you understand.

COVID-19 Adoption Steps:

  • Fill out an adoption application and we will review

  • If a possible match, we will contact you for a meet & greet for you to meet the dog. It will be outside, household members only with masks on the entire time. The foster parent will also be wearing a mask

  • We ask that if anyone has tested positive in the family please address this immediately with an FTF team member. We want no one's families to be put at risk of spreading the virus

  • Home checks can be done virtually or if agreed upon a physical home check.  If you agree to do a physical home check we ask you to do this consent form.  Only do this consent form if you have been asked by the foster parent.

  • Adoptions will then be processed safely at one of our designated adoption locations with masks on

Together we will fight this but until then will continue our work of making families complete with their four-legged friends!
