About the Event
Rescue Readers is a special program designed to help children build confidence while reading in a safe, judgment-free environment. It also provides enrichment and comfort to our shelter dogs as they wait for their forever homes
Here’s how it works:
* Each child receives a Rescue Readers t-shirt upon arrival
* Children bring a favorite book (or two) with them
* They read to a shelter dog while in their suite
* Children get to create an enrichment project for the pups
The donation is $20 per child which covers the t-shirt, enrichment supplies, and helps provide a vaccine for a dog in need. This event typically happens on the second Sunday of each month from 12-1pm. Spots are limited!
