Meet Olive, a sweet and spirited girl who is full of love and energy. Olive gets along well with other dogs, though she will stand her ground if another dog provokes her. She has lived peacefully with cats and even enjoyed the company of a one-year-old and two-year-old, soaking up all the attention and playtime they offered.
Olive is fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. Crates, however, are not her thing-she much prefers to be close to her people, whether that means snuggling on the couch during the day or curling up on the bed at night. She is happiest when she's right by your side.
With her high energy level, Olive loves chasing tennis balls in the yard and needs daily exercise to keep her busy. She's a smart girl and a bit of a toy destroyer, so sturdy chew toys are a must. She can be food protective around other dogs, so mealtime and treats are best handled with a little extra space. Olive thrives in a home where she can have plenty of attention, affection, and positive interaction. She doesn't quite understand personal space-she always wants to be as close as possible to her humans. She can get mischievous if left alone too long, sometimes counter-surfing or getting into things, but with the right family to guide her, she'll be a loyal and loving companion. She isn't a fan of nail trims but happily cooperates for bath time.
Olive is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, but that hasn't dimmed her sweet spirit one bit. And just in case you were wondering what makes Olive so unique, her DNA results are in! She's a wonderful mix of Dalmatian (24.2%), Weimaraner (21.8%), Boxer (17.4%), Mountain Cur (14.7%), American Pit Bull Terrier (12%), and Australian Cattle Dog (9.9%). Truly one-of-a-kind! Olive is ready to find her forever family through Fetching Tails Foundation. Could it be you?
