About
Wilber
FAST FACTS:
* 40lbs
* Dog Friendly
* Cat Friendly
* Crate Trained
* Potty Trained

Meet Wilber - the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and then never gives it back. Wilber is a 1-year-old, 40-lb sweetheart with a gentle soul and the softest demeanor. He's wonderfully dog-friendly with pups of all sizes and truly thrives when he has another dog around. He's very tolerant, patient, and submissive, and prefers polite, easygoing playmates. Having a dog buddy actually gives him confidence, especially when it comes to going for walks or braving chilly weather. He's not reactive at all and just wants everyone to get along.

He's also cat-friendly and shows a respectful, cautious curiosity - the kind where he'd rather avoid than engage. As long as the cats aren't instigators, Wilber is more than happy to peacefully coexist. He's potty trained and has come a long way in a short time, quickly learning to hold it overnight once he settled into a routine. He's crate trained too, though he may need a little encouragement to go in - once he's there, he immediately relaxes and settles down.

Wilber is kid-friendly with all ages. He can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly and shows his affectionate side once he feels safe. His energy level is low to medium - he enjoys playtime when the mood strikes, but he's mostly a chill guy who prefers cuddling and hanging out near his people.

And cuddling? That's his specialty. Wilber is incredibly affectionate, loves human attention, and is a total lap dog. Toys are another big love of his life - plush toys, balls, squeaky toys... if it squeaks, he's obsessed. He walks nicely on leash, especially with a canine friend by his side, and he's a fantastic car passenger. He may need help getting into the car, but once he's in, he just lays down and relaxes for the ride.

Wilber has the most adorable little "bunny hops" when he gets excited, enjoys having a human nearby while he eats, and is an absolute angel for baths and nail trims. Truly, he's one of those dogs who just wants to love and be loved. Gentle, sweet, and endlessly affectionate - Wilber is ready to be someone's perfect companion
