Since the Illinois Stay At Home Order for COVID-19 began, 140 dogs have found safety with Fetching Tails Foundation.
With adoption rates being higher than ever, we are hearing a question repeated frequently right now. 'What happens when everyone has to go back to work?'
That's a good question. Ultimately, in terms of dogs finding loving families and forever homes, we believe the benefits of all these adoptions outweigh the risks.
We want to make sure you know that Fetching Tails Foundation goes above and beyond to practice due diligence when placing pups adoptive homes. We strive for perfect matches and set appropriate expectations of care from the start.
When a dog is placed by Fetching Tails Foundation, training is almost always required in the adoption contract. We have even been working with one of our trainers to offer virtual training sessions! By putting these programs in place, we ensure the decisions to bring a pup into a home is done with great thought. This limits our risk of dogs being returned.
We can only hope others are doing the same.
